Our history
A story, reimagined
A place that belongs to Cernobbio, rediscovered through a new way of living Lake Como
Overlooking the Riva di Cernobbio, the former Hotel Miralago begins a new chapter following a thoughtful transformation. Its history now meets a new vision of hospitality: more intimate, personal and deeply connected to its surroundings. Miralago Luxury Apartments is born from this encounter, where the memory of the place meets a contemporary way of living the lake.
Before becoming Miralago Luxury Apartments, the building was already part of Cernobbio’s hospitality heritage as Hotel Miralago. Its position on the waterfront, just steps from the piazza and directly overlooking the water, has shaped its character over time. Deeply connected to the life of the village, it now welcomes guests and the local community once again through a new residential identity.
The transformation of the former Hotel Miralago stems from a desire to preserve the identity of the place while interpreting it through a contemporary language. Entrusted to Studio Droulers, the architecture and interior design project draws inspiration from the tradition of Lake Como’s historic villas, with light-filled spaces, a soft colour palette, natural materials and fine fabrics.
From this transformation emerges a new model of hospitality, where the freedom and intimacy of a private residence meet the care and service of Villa d’Este. Eight apartments across four floors, all overlooking the lake, are designed to adapt to different stays while offering an exceptionally close connection to the water. Light and reflections bring the lake into the interiors, making it part of the everyday experience.
Miralago Luxury Apartments, part of Villa d’Este La Collezione, introduces the concept of branded living to Lake Como, opening a new chapter to hospitality: more intimate, personal and residential. A place where its heritage meets the authenticity of life in Cernobbio. On the ground floor, Caffè Miralago completes the story as a welcoming meeting place, open to the local community and woven into the everyday life of the village.
